MESSE DES MORTS IX – ANCIENT SVARTALVHEIM + TROLLTAAR SET

Après son démo Eerily Howling Winds paru en 1993, Ancient lançait il y a 25 ans son premier album Svartalvheim au sein d’une scène norvégienne en pleine ébullition. Aujourd’hui reconnu comme un classique du Black norvégien, l’album a été suivi l’année suivante par le tout aussi époustouflant EP Trolltaar. Lorsque nous avons vu que le groupe se proposait de jouer ces deux albums sur quelques dates, nous n’avons pas hésité une seconde, et nous les avions convié à la Messe des Morts, dans ce qui sera une performance nord-américaine exclusive! ---------------------------- After the release of their Eerily Howling Winds demo in 1993, Ancient launched, 25 years ago, their first album, Svartalvheim amidst a booming Norwegian scene. Now hailed as a Norwegian Black Metal classic, the album was followed by the equally breathtaking Trooltaar EP the next year. So when we saw the band announcing that it would perform both albums on select dates, we did not hesitate a single second and we invited them at Messe des Morts, in what will be an exclusive North-American performance!
